On 30 October, BCCSA organize a conference about Antarctica in the most fascinating venue in Cape Town – Zailab office and terrace in the Portside Tower.

The evening will start with a documentary about Alain Hubert.

Polar Explorer, Mountain Guide, Entrepreneur and President of the International Polar Foundation , Alain will give a talk about his passion, his projects and his view on the future. You will have the unique opportunity in Cape Town to meet and discuss with him and his team, just 2 days before their departure to Antarctica for 4 months

As someone who is passionate about the Polar Regions and polar expeditions, I’ve witnessed firsthand how climate change is affecting these delicate regions of the planet. Each time I return things have changed.

I founded the International Polar Foundation in 2002 to inform and educate people about polar science and to popularize the research that’s being undertaken there. A well-informed public can take more informed decisions. Solutions to create a more sustainable society exist. NOW It is time to understand what is at stake and act.
